Jim Upton has been the driving force behind CPAC.com.au since 1999. With over 25 years experience in property and construction, Jim has overseen or directly handled all of CPAC's in-house projects and consultancies. His background in the Property and Construction industry started in the early 1980's. Jim held senior roles in these industries including Queensland State Manager of Intrapac Property.
Jim has extensive real-estate experience including owning and operating two successful real-estate offices in Noosa, Queensland.
Jim later forged an outstanding reputation in property acquisitions with Oliver Hume. Having a keen interest in property values and market trends, Jim joined Residex as Queensland State Manager, expanding their operations into Queensland. This has given CPAC a leading edge when identifying and acquiring suitable sites for major clients. Jim recognises the acquisition process for development sites is not just a matter of negotiating a contract, but involves a complete knowledge of the development process and the ability to identify and deal with the motivation and pressures on all involved parties.
Jim was a charter member and a key recruitment executive with Barclay Recruitment. Recruiting for some of Australia’s major property firms, Jim has formed valuable contacts throughout the property and land development industry. Jim’s ability to communicate at all levels has assisted CPAC.com.au in becoming a nexus between site and developer. Practising what he preaches Jim has acquired and developed several successful in-house projects.
When not at work Jim volunteers for Angel Flight and enjoys fishing, cooking, exploring and flying light aircraft and drones.
